I don’t care what anyone says, Ben Affleck will make a great Batman and I cannot wait to see what he can bring to Zack Snyder’s Batman vs Superman. Naturally, there will always be haters and those who are uncomfortable with change, and while right now it seems that Christian Bale is the only person we all want to see in the role, Affleck has really matured over the years and become a very credible actor, and director. I think he will do just fine.
Warner Brothers CEO Kevin Tsujihara seems to think so too, and at a recent press conference, he shared his thoughts on Affleck becoming the next Batman.
He told investors during the Bank of America Merrill Lynch Media, Communications and Entertainment Conference that Ben Affleck’s Batman in the upcoming Batman vs. Superman film will be “kind of tired and weary and seasoned and been doing it for a while.” He added that Affleck is perfect for the role, but I am not sure if that should be taken as a compliment or not?
“Ben is perfect for the vision Zack has for that character. The fact that you saw such a passionate response in the blogosphere is really kind of a testament to the love that people have for this character.”
