A new video and a collection of images have been released to promote Spike Lee’s remake of Oldboy, and we have the lot right here for you!
The video is a sort of advertisement for “Hotel Oldboy”, a place where you will have the delights of 24 hour surveillance, three meals a day, maid service, special views, on hand medical treatment and the ability to learn. All this comes with your room, a room which Josh Brolin can tell you all about, and in the video we get Samuel L. Jackson promoting the comfy stay.
There is also a small collection of posters to back-up the videos offers.
Spike Lee directs the remake which is based on Park Chan-wook’s second film in his superb ‘Vengeance Trilogy’ (starting with Sympathy For Mr Vengeance and ending with Lady Vengeance). The cast includes Josh Brolin, Elizabeth Olsen, Samuel L. Jackson and Sharlto Copley.
Oldboy arrives in US cinemas 27th November, and in UK cinemas 6th December.
Synopsis:
OLDBOY follows the story of an advertising executive (Josh Brolin) who is kidnapped and held hostage for 20 years in solitary confinement without any indication of his captor’s motive. When he is inexplicably released, he embarks on an obsessive mission to discover who orchestrated his bizarre and torturous punishment only to find he is still trapped in a web of conspiracy and torment. His quest for revenge leads him into an ill-fated relationship with a young social worker (Elizabeth Olsen) and ultimately to an elusive man (Sharlto Copley) who allegedly holds the key to his salvation.
