A new trailer for Blood Ties has been released, which is due to be screened at this years Toronto International Film Festival. Check it out below.
The film was previously screened at Cannes Film Festival this year, with reports suggesting that the film was somewhat disappointing, particularly that it was a little heavy on the narrative side of things, and a little too long. Although it has also been described as compelling and watchable.
Directed by Guillaume Canet, who co-wrote the film with James Gray, the film dons an impressive cast including Clive Owen, Marion Cottillard, Billy Crudup, Zoe Saldana, Matthias Schoenaerts, Mila Kunis, James Caan and Noah Emmerich. The story is set in 1974 Brooklyn, New York and focuses on brothers Frank, a police officer (Crudup) and Chris, an ex-con (Owen) recently released from jail. On either side of the law, they come up against organised crime in Brooklyn.
The trailer looks gritty and well worth a watch, and last we heard, the release date was anticipated for October 2013.
