Posters! ‘Robocop’ warns “your move” and two more ‘Thor: The Dark World’ posters arrive

The first trailer for director Jose Padilha’s Robocop remake landed earlier this week to mixed reviews, and now the official poster has landed which nicely gives homage to the original film. However, the word “creep” is sadly missing from the poster, don’t you think? Check out the poster below.

Director José Padilha (Elite Squad) reimagines the tale of part man, part machine, all cop starring Joel Kinnaman (The Killing) as the title character, with Abbie Cornish playing his wife Ellen,  Gary Oldman (The Dark Knight Rises) as the scientist who creates RoboCop, Jackie Earle Haley as  Maddox, the man who dispenses the military training to Robocop, Michael Keaton will play Raymond Sellars, and Samuel L. Jackson (The Avengers) as media mogul Pat Novak, and Aimee Garcia will play a scientists who helps put Robocop together. RoboCop is being produced by Strike Entertainment’s Marc Abraham and Eric Newman, with Eric Carraro as Executive Producer.

Robocop is expected in UK cinemas 7th February 2014.

Synopsis:

In RoboCop, the year is 2029 and multinational conglomerate OmniCorp is at the centre of robot technology. Their drones are winning American wars around the globe and now they want to bring this technology to the home front. Alex Murphy is a loving husband, father and good cop doing his best to stem the tide of crime and corruption in Detroit. After he is critically injured in the line of duty, OmniCorp utilises their remarkable science of robotics to save Alex’s life. He returns to the streets of his beloved city with amazing new abilities, but with issues a regular man has never had to face before.

Thor: The Dark World:

Also revealed today by Marvel are two new posters for Thor: The Dark World. This is the second Loki poster released, but we now also get a character poster for Anthony Hopkins’ Odin too!

Directed by Alan Taylor (Game of Thrones), the sequel will see Thor (Chris Hemsworth) battling against the villainous dark elf Malekith The Accured (Christopher Eccleston).

The film also also stars Natalie Portman, Tom Hiddleston, Stellan Skarsgård, Idris Elba, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Kat Dennings, Ray Stevenson, Zachary Levi, Tadanobu Asano, Jaimie Alexander, Rene Russo, and Anthony Hopkins.

Thor: The Dark World is due for release on 30th October 2013

Synopsis:

Marvels “Thor: The Dark World” continues the big-screen adventures of Thor, the Mighty Avenger, as he battles to save Earth and all the Nine Realms from a shadowy enemy that predates the universe itself.
