TIFF: IFC Midnight makes a deal for new horror ‘Almost Human’

Another quick deal has just been announced out of the Toronto International Film Festival. IFC Midnight have acquired all North American rights to director Joe Begos’ insane looking new horror, Almost Human.

The deal for “Almost Human” was negotiated by Arianna Bocco and Sean Berney for IFC Films with ICM Partners and Caliber Media on behalf of the filmmakers. WTF Films is handling international rights. Almost Human” was the second Midnight Madness title acquired by IFC, which also bought “The Station” last week.

Expect US release details soon.

Written, directed, and produced by Joe Begos, Almost Human stars Graham Skipper, Josh Ethier, and Vanessa Leigh.

Synopsis:

Mark Fisher disappeared from his home in a brilliant flash of blue light almost two years ago. His friend Seth Hampton was the last to see him alive. Now a string of grisly, violent murders leads Seth to believe that Mark is back, and something evil is inside of him.
