As a punishment for failing a test on the industrial revolution a group of teens are taken on a field trip to a railroad museum where a mysterious Mr. Steele (Tony Todd – “Candyman”) tells them about “Railroad Jack”- a cold-blooded “Reaper” – an horrific creature who ushers souls to the afterlife and is known to haunt a stretch of desert highway called “Death’s Door”.

On their return they travel along “Deaths Door” and their school bus crashes right beside a strange, deserted fairground. Enticed by the lights and the sounds of this deadly carnival, the teens set out to find help. But terror ensues when they discover the carnival is Jack The Reaper’s hunting ground. “Railroad Jack” (Douglas Tait “Freddy v Jason”) has been waiting for them, armed with a pickaxe and he has laid claim to their souls.

  1. everyone is going to say candyman…so i’ll say final destination 2. he only has a small part (reprising his role from the first destination as mr. exposition…sounds like he has the same role in the reaper too) but it doesn’t matter. final destination 2 is one of the best “silly” horror films ever made, so if that’s under consideration i gotta choose it. that movie is just hilarious.

  2. Candyman 2. The DJ’s sultry tones, the music and the fact that it takes place in New Orleans at Mardi Gras make for a really spooky atmosphere.

  3. The original Final Destination: it’s been a little ‘diluted’ by the numerous sequels; but, on its own merits, it’s a great movie, with a great story.

  4. Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen lot of people don’t no that he does the voice of the fallen and as the transformer films are in my top 10 favourite films it had to be that. the great thing about him is he can convey a sense of mystery and evil using just his voice and that’s what I love about it. although as many others his greatest full role would be candy man haha 🙂

  5. Final Destination 1 was new, innovative and to be frankly honest was the first film in a long time that seriously made me jump… I know that there have been countless follow-ups and other films copying the style etc but surely that alone merits a worthy mention for this film, it redefined a genre and created a new breed of horror/thriller fans

  6. Final Destination: I keep expecting Tony Todd’s character Bill Bludworth to morph into Candyman (now that would be something!). It’s also a film that keeps you guessing – how will the characters die? I’ll admit, I even jumped out of my skin a few times.

  7. my favourite Tony Todd film is ‘The Rock’, I think Nicolas Cage and Sean Connery characters were brilliant and the film just kept you spell bound the whole way through, to weather they would succeed in their mission.

  8. Candyman ….. haha dare you say his name five times when you are alone! Fantastic urban legend film with a great plot and of course Tony Todd is perfect as the Candyman with that sinister deep, gravelly voice! 👿

  9. It has to be Candyman- why? because its shit scary!! i still get the heavy jeebies incase i say “that” name – but, despite the characters evil doings, Tony Todd is a real hero- did you know that they put REAL BEE’s into his mouth while filming in the climax (and i hate bee’s being anywhere near to me too!!- a mouth full of real ones would freak me out!!)

  10. Got to be Hatchet II for me. As much as Candyman is iconic and set Tony Todd on the road to horror infamy it’s in Hatchet II that he really comes alive and takes his place alongside Robert England and Kane Hodder as a horror star who knows exactly how to pitch a knowing and fun performance while still trying to outgross an audience. I also like him in Shadow: Dead Riot too.

  11. Going to be one of the sheep and say Candyman. One of the first horror films I saw as a young’un and was very scary!

  12. I would say without the shadow of a doubt Candyman Farewell to the flesh that thing when they say look in the mirror fives times , so scary brillant story overall sticks in my mind !????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????
