I love prosthetic effects, stop-motion animation and gore, but most of all I love a good story! I adore B-movies and exploitation films in many of their guises and also have a soft spot for creature features. I review a wide range of media including movies, TV series, books and videogames. I'm a massive fan of author Hunter S. Thompson and I enjoy various genre of videogames with Kingdom Hearts and Harvest Moon two of my all time favs. Currently playing: GTA Online & Mortal Kombat 11

  1. my favourite thriller film has to be Memento, it has great suspense moments and the twists in it are amazing. a lot of the film you get very confused but that’s what makes a great thriller in my opinion.

  2. Rear Window – it’s just a beautiful piece of film-making. Great cast, brilliant acting and makes my heart pound every time I watch it.

  3. For me its Cape Fear, I remember the first time I watched it, it gave me chills, De Niro is such a good actor and the role of a psychopath is definitely one he can play well. Great film

  4. profondo rosso…funny, quirky, tense…stylish and artistic while also appealing to the lowest common denominator…a twisty turn-ey whodunnit plot…inventive kills…a killer soundtrack…everything you want in a thriller.

  5. I always loved Face/Off starring John Travolta and Nicholas Cage. Both of them are fantastic in it and it’s a seriously thrilling film! 🙂

  6. Cape Fear!

It scared the ! out of me when I first saw it all those years ago and whenever I see it now I am transported back to that moment

  7. I love Leon and Millers Crossing. I also love David Lynch especially Lost Highway although the androgynous guy freaks me and gave me nightmares.

  8. American Psycho is my favourite thriller. Christian Bale is just amazing as Patrick Bateman. Its tense and nasty, but also very funny and ironic aswell.

  9. I love the the Happening as it constantly leaves you in suspense with the different twists and turns within the plot – a very clever film!

  10. My favorite thriller film has to be…*thinking*….Nothing Left To Fear, was the last & not least thriller i watched. Got no reason as to why 😛

  11. My favourite thriller was the Green Mile, It was suspensful, dramatic, fascinating, touching and cleverly written and portrayed!

  12. Sleeping With the enemy. The sheer to look of horror on Julia Roberts face when she realises that all the jars and tins in the cupboards and towels on the towel rack have been perfectly realigned….oooh

  13. Got to be The Game with Sean Penn & Michael Douglas. It’s so twisty and turny you’re not sure until the last frame exactly what’s going on, and what’s real. Kind of wish I could have an Eternal Sunshine moment and have it wiped from my brain so I could watch it for the first time again 😀

  14. ‘The Game’ with Michael Douglas…I love anything that has lots of twists and turns and is a bit outside ‘normal’ day to day living and this was great. You started out pretty much hating Douglas’ character but as his life disintergrated around him you started to actually feel a tad sorry for the guy 😉

  15. Alien…for its day it was fantastic. It keeps you gripped right up till the last seconds waiting to see who would win the ultimate fight

  16. My favourite thriller is ‘The Silence Of The Lambs’, a fantastic movie with a great cast that keeps you on the edge of your seat.

  17. Has to be seven, for all the twists kept me on the edge of the seat till the end!!! Classic now but great film!

  18. Cape Fear – always, not only check your back seat, but always, always check under the car, too before leaving on long journeys!

  19. Silence of the Lambs, just anthony hopkins describing how he ate his liver with fava beans and a glass of chianti sends shivers down my spine whenever he says it.

  20. Fallen – very creepy, especially the ‘Time Is On My Side’ scene, and keeps you guessing most of the way through the film (although I had worked out the twist at the end). Plus it has Denzel Washington.

  21. I really enjoyed ‘Battle Royale’, it’s still one of my all time faves and kept me held in suspense and entertained over what was going to happen next!! The soundtrack was also outstanding!

  22. I love the film taken as it keeps you interested from start to finish and sadly, the scenario could be true to life
