More casting news for director Kevin Smith’s Tusk with Haley Joel Osment (The Sixth Sense) joining the cast for the walrus horror.
Smith has written and will direct the film, and so far it has been confirmed that Justin Long (Die Hard 4.0, Drag me to Hell), Genesis Rodriguez (The Last Stand, Man on a Ledge) and Michael Parks (Kill Bill, Django Unchained) will star in the film.
According to Deadline, Osment will play Teddy, whose best friend and podcast co-host (Long) goes missing in the backwoods of Canada. He joins forces with his friend’s girlfriend (Rodriguez) to search for him.
Apart from this, we know very little about the film apart from that the “story follows a podcaster who sets out to interview an eccentric, reclusive old seafarer, only to find himself a plaything in the gruesome plot of a deranged killer.”
The film is expected to play at next years Sundance Film Festival, and filming will commence in November.
