In THE BLING RING, Oscar Winning filmmaker Sofia Coppola takes us inside the hedonistic world of a group of teenage wannabes, where naiveté and excitement is amplified by the culture of luxury and fame.

To celebrate the film’s home entertainment release in thematically indulgent style, StudioCanal has issued a very special one-off DVD cover – covered in a staggering 7,000 crystals. It’s set to become a covetable must for the discerning DVD collector, and with only one in existence, let’s hope that no-one will end up behind bars trying to get their hands on this ‘bling’ accessory.

Crystal Mess are the design team behind the ‘bling’ cover, which took a painstaking 18 hours of intricate application of tiny stones. We’re sure Paris Hilton would be very impressed.

The Bling Ring is available on DVD and Blu-Ray NOW.

In the fame-obsessed world of Los Angeles, a group of teenagers take us on a thrilling and disturbing crime-spree in the Hollywood hills. Based on true events, the group, who were fixated on a life of glamour, tracked their celebrity targets online, and stole more than $3 million in luxury goods from their homes. Their victims included Paris Hilton, Orlando Bloom, and Rachel Bilson, and the gang became known in the media as “The Bling Ring.”

Written and directed Sofia Coppola (Lost in Translation, The Virgin Suicides, Marie Antoinette), THE BLING RING stars Emma Watson (Harry Potter, The Perks of Being a Wallflower), Leslie Mann (This is 40, Knocked Up), Taissa Farmiga, Claire Julien, Israel Broussard and Katie Chang.

Emma Watson talks about her wardrobe as Nicki in THE BLING RING in the video below.

I love prosthetic effects, stop-motion animation and gore, but most of all I love a good story! I adore B-movies and exploitation films in many of their guises and also have a soft spot for creature features. I review a wide range of media including movies, TV series, books and videogames. I'm a massive fan of author Hunter S. Thompson and I enjoy various genre of videogames with Kingdom Hearts and Harvest Moon two of my all time favs. Currently playing: Kingdom Come: Deliverance
