Jonathan Teplitzky’s World War II drama THE RAILWAY MAN opens across the UK through Lionsgate on 1st January 2014, following its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival on 6th September.

Based on his best-selling memoir, The Railway Man tells the extraordinary and epic true story of Eric Lomax, a British Army officer who is tormented as a prisoner of war at a Japanese labour camp during World War II. Decades later, Lomax discovers that the Japanese interpreter he holds responsible for much of his treatment is still alive and sets out to confront him, and his haunting past.

A powerful tale of survival, love and redemption, THE RAILWAY MAN stars Academy Award-winners Colin Firth and Nicole Kidman, with Jeremy Irvine, Hiroyuki Sanada and Stellan Skarsgård. The film is written by Frank Cottrell Boyce and Andy Paterson, who also produces with Chris Brown and Bill Curbishley.

I love practical effects, stop-motion animation and gore, but most of all I love a good story! I adore B-movies and exploitation films in many of their guises and also have a soft spot for creature features. I review a wide range of media including movies, TV series, books and videogames. I'm a massive fan of author Hunter S. Thompson and I enjoy various genre of videogames with Kingdom Hearts and Harvest Moon two of my all time favs. Currently playing: The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, Yakuza Zero and Webbed.
