Screen Daily reports that Roadshow Films has picked up US and UK rights to apocalyptic thriller These Final Hours from Celluloid Nightmares. Roadshow, which already had Australian rights, will sell the film on to third party distributors in each territory.
The superb looking Australian film looks at what people might do on their last days on Earth. The story focuses on a self-obsessed young man who must decide whether to party his final hours away, or do good by way of saving a young girl.
The first trailer was released over the weekend, and we have it below for you, and it is quite something. Powerful, original and filled with some great imagery and dramatic tension, These Final Hours looks very impressive indeed.
The film is written and directed by Zak Hilditch, and the cast includes Wolf Creek’s Nathan Phillips and Snowtown’s Daniel Henshall. Also appearing in the film are Australian actresses Jessica De Gouw (Kath & Kimderella) and Sarah Snook (Lionsgate’s Jessabelle).
The well-received thriller earned Hilditch the Critics’ Award for Best Australian feature at the Melbourne International Film Festival.
A self-obsessed young man makes his way to the party-to-end-all-parties on the last day on Earth, but ends up saving the life of a little girl searching for her father. Their relationship ultimately leads him on the path to redemption.
