‘Divergent’ reveals all seven character posters, first trailer details announced!

All seven shadowy character posters have now been released for director Neil Burger’s Divergent, an adaptation of Veronica Roth’s novel. The Hunger Games style franchise is expected to do big things when it is released, and with The Hunger Games: Catching Fire released in cinemas next week, the Divergent promotional goods are beginning to kick into gear.

Now that we have all five character posters, it must be time for the official trailer right? Well yes, we have already had a teaser trailer, but it has been announced that the official trailer will land tomorrow, so be sure to check back here to see it.

The film, directed by Neil Burger (Limitless), take place in the future where people live in a society that is divided into factions based on their personalities. Tris doesn’t fit into any of the factions and is labelled as a Divergent, and learns of a conspiracy to destroy all who are labelled as such.

The film stars Shailene Woodley, Theo James, Kate Winslet, Miles Teller, Jai Courtney, Ashley Judd, Tony Goldwyn, Ray Stevenson, Zoe Kravitz, Maggie Q, Mekhi Phifer, Ansel Elgort, Christian Madsen, Ben Lloyd-Hughes, Ben Lamb, and Amy Newbold.

Divergent is due for release on 21 March 2014.

Synopsis

DIVERGENT is a thrilling adventure set in a future world where people are divided into distinct factions based on their personalities, Tris Prior (Shailene Woodley) is warned she is Divergent and will never fit into any one group. When she discovers a conspiracy to destroy all Divergents, she must find out what makes being Divergent so dangerous before it’s too late.
