The film version of Fear Clinic, created by website Fearnet.com and director and SFX guy Rob Hall, is due to start filming next month, and news in today is that Danielle Harris and Kane Hodder will no longer be appearing in the film, and the talented Fiona Dourif (Curse Of Chucky) has joined the cast.
The original five episode web series starred Robert Englund as Dr Andover, a slightly unhinged scientist who had ways of curing patients phobias. Naturally, being a horror series, his methods would lead to some horrible experiments.
Robert Englund will star in the film (reprising his role of Dr. Andover from the series) and Fiona Dourif will be appear alongside Thomas Dekker (The Sarah Connor Chronicles) and Cleopatra Coleman (Step Up: Revolution, Silversun).
The screenplay was written by Aaron Drane and Rob Hall, and is produced my Mark B Johnson.
The film, “opens with a tragedy that launches five people into the public eye and enlists Dr. Andover to lend his expertise to help them overcome trauma-induced phobias. A year later, terrifying ‘aftershocks’ rattle the survivors, leading to them finding their way back to the fear clinic seeking answers. As they line up for another turn in the chamber, Dr. Andover believes that something more sinister may be at work.”
