Games of Thrones’ Emilia Clarke testing for Sarah Connor role in ‘Terminator’ reboot

Games of Thrones’ sexy star, Emilia Clarke, is among a few actresses testing for the role of Sarah Connor in Alan Taylor’s (Game of Thrones, Thor: The Dark World) Terminator reboot.

Clarke will test for the role next week, along with Brie Larson (Scott Pilgrim vs The World) and another un-named actress. Margot Robbie (Neighbours) has also been rumoured for the role. Linda Hamilton played Sarah Connor in the original Terminator films.

Sarah Connor is Mother to John Connor, the leader of the resistance against the cyborgs. Taylor has Tom Hardy at the top of his wishlist to play John Connor in his new film, but the pair have yet to set up a meeting.

Taylor is also looking to cast Kyle Reese, the role played by the brilliant Michael Biehn in James Cameron’s 1984 original. Rumour has it that Garrett Hedlund (Tron: Legacy) and Boyd Holbrook (The Host) are in the running for the part.

Arnold Schwarzenegger is also set to return as “a Terminator robot in a time-spanning story that sees him tasked to protect Sarah Connor as she grows up.”

Back in June, Dwayne Johnson was also rumoured to be playing a role in the new Terminator film.

A keen enthusiast and collector of all horror and extreme films. I can be picky as i like quality in my horror. This doesn't necessarily mean it has to be a classic, but as long as it has something to impress me then i'm a fan. I watch films by the rule that if it doesn't bring out some kind of emotive response then it aint worth watching.
