We have two brand new trailers here for you to feast your eyes on! First up is the latest trailer for Vampire Academy: Blood Sisters’, and after a teeny themed opening, it actually becomes kinda quirky and enjoyable. I am still mixed as to just how good this will actually be, but it looks like a lot of guilty pleasure type fun.
Mean Girls director Mark Waters directs the adaptation of the first book, and the film title has been changed from The Vampire Academy: Book One to The Vampire Academy: Blood Sisters, suggesting a proposed series of the popular books. Daniel Waters (Heathers, Batman Returns) adapted the script.
The film stars Zoey Deutch (Beautiful Creatures), and Australian newcomer Lucy Fry, who play lead characters Rose and Lissa alongside Russian star Danila Kozlovski (We Are From The Future,) who will play the role of Dimitri. The cast also includes Olga Kurylenko, Gabriel Byrne, Sarah Hyland, Joely Richardson, Cameron Monaghan, Sami Gayle, Claire Foy, and Ashley Charles. Michael Preger and his Preger Entertainment banner is producing with Angry Films’ Don Murphy and Susan Montford, and Kintop Pictures’ Deepak Nayer. IM Global’s Stuart Ford is executive producer.
Based on author Richelle Mead’s worldwide bestselling series, VAMPIRE ACADEMY tells the legend of Rose Hathaway (Zoey Deutch) and Lissa Dragomir (Lucy Fry), two 17-year-old girls who attend a hidden boarding school for Moroi (mortal, peaceful Vampires) and Dhampirs (half-vampire/half-human guardians). Rose, a rebellious Guardian-in-training and her best friend, Lissa – a royal vampire Princess – have been on the run when they are captured and returned to St.Vladamir’s Academy, the very place where they believe their lives may be in most jeopardy. Thrust back into the perils of Moroi Society and high school, Lissa struggles to reclaim her status while Rose trains with her mentor and love-interest, Dimitri (Danila Kozlovsky), to guarantee her place as Lissa’s guardian. Rose will sacrifice everything to protect Lissa from those who intend to exploit her from within the Academy walls and the Strigoi (immortal, evil vampires) who hunt her kind from outside its sanctuary.
On the totally opposite end of the spectrum we have a brand new red-band trailer for Charlie Countryman, and if you thought the first trailer was insane, wait till you see the NSFW version. Filled with gratuitous violence, drugs, sex and some really cool dialogue and music, this new red-band trailer is very impressive!
Charlie Countryman is directed by Fredrik Bond and written by Matt Drake. The cast includes Shia LaBeouf, Mads Mikkelsen, Evan Rachel Wood, Rupert Grint, Melissa Leo, Vincent D’Onofrio, John Hurt and Til Schweiger.
Charlie Countryman arrives in UK cinemas November 8th.
When his late mother appears in a vision and tells him to go to Bucharest, Charlie immediately boards a plane across the Atlantic. But when he meets a fellow passenger, Charlie finds himself with another promise to fulfill. Charlie does so – and falls head over heels in love with Gabi, a beautiful musician.
However, a vicious gangster has already laid claim to Gabi, and has no intention of letting her go. Determined to protect her, Charlie enters into the hallucinatory, Romanian underworld filled with violence and, strangely enough, love.
