‘Pompeii’ poster shows off a massive volcano, and some crazy love

Yes, because if a giant volcano was erupting close by, I would just stand there, hug my beloved and pretend it wasn’t really happening! That’s what we’re lead to believe in the first official poster for Paul W.S. Anderson’s new disaster film, Pompeii. Check out the poster below.

I have also included a reminder of the trailer.

The film is due for release in cinemas on 21 February in 3D, and it looks amazing, and those of you who love a good disaster film will no doubt love this. The director has proved his worth over the years as an action director, with the Resident Evil franchise, Death Race and the mighty Event Horizon, so I would expect big things from Pompeii.

Paul W.S. Anderson directs, and Janet Scott Batchler and Lee Batchler wrote the script. The cast includes Kit Harrington (Game of Thrones), Kiefer Sutherland, Emily Browning, Carrie-Anne Moss, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Jessica Lucas, and Jared Harris.

Set in 79 A.D., POMPEII tells the epic story of Milo (Kit Harington), a slave turned invincible gladiator who finds himself in a race against time to save his true love Cassia (Emily Browning), the beautiful daughter of a wealthy merchant who has been unwillingly betrothed to a corrupt Roman Senator. As Mount Vesuvius erupts in a torrent of blazing lava, Milo must fight his way out of the arena in order to save his beloved as the once magnificent Pompeii crumbles around him.

A keen enthusiast and collector of all horror and extreme films. I can be picky as i like quality in my horror. This doesn't necessarily mean it has to be a classic, but as long as it has something to impress me then i'm a fan. I watch films by the rule that if it doesn't bring out some kind of emotive response then it aint worth watching.
