X2 screenwriters Mike Dougherty and Dan Harris on board for X-Men: Apocalypse

We recently brought you the news that Bryan Singer was already working on the next X-Men movie, X-Men: Apocalypse, and Singer has now announced that he will be re-teaming X2 screenwriters Mike Dougherty and Dan Harris to collaborate with Days of Future Past writer Simon Kinberg. He tweeted a pic with the tweet “It’s snowing in Egypt!” which could be a reference to Egypt being the origin of Apocalypse/En Sabah Nur’s??

Singer has previously tweeted that X-Men: Apocalypse will be arriving on our screens in 2016 and Exhibitor Relations then followed Singer’s Tweet with a confirmation of the films release date, May 27th 2016.

Singer will be returning to direct the next film in the franchise and X-Men: Apocalypse will follow on directly from the events of X-Men: Days of Future Past, and that “the new film is intended to focus strictly on the younger McAvoy-Fassbender cast!.

There are no more plot or cast details to share with you. However, if the title is any indication as to what the film will be about, but it sounds like me might have a bit of a cliffhanger at the end of X-Men: Days of Future Past and it could mean that the X-Men will be having some troubles with one bastard of a villain: Apocalypse .
