Electro is on the attack in three new ‘The Amazing Spider-Man 2’ posters

Marc Webb’s sequel, The Amazing Spider-Man 2 features a number of villains, with both Rhino (Paul Giamatti) and Green Goblin (Dane DeHaan) showing up to cause Spidey (Andrew Garfield) some problems. However, we all know that the main villain of the film is indeed Electro (Jamie Foxx), and to prove that he is the big bad of the film, three new posters have made their way on-line, each featuring Electro very prominently.

Electro is going to make for a very cool villain, and judging by the trailers, Webb has put a lot of effort into his big villain, and no doubt the always excellent Foxx will deliver a fantastic performance. With yet another year filled with superhero films (X-Men: Days of Future Past, Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Guardians of the Galaxy), can The Amazing Spider-Man 2 compete? Oh yes it can!

The sequel to last year’s critical and box office hit The Amazing Spider-Man, the film stars Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Jamie Foxx, Sarah Gadon, Dane DeHaan, Colm Feore, Paul Giamatti, Chris Cooper and Sally Field.

We’ve always known that Spider-Man’s most important battle has been within himself: the struggle between the ordinary obligations of Peter Parker and the extraordinary responsibilities of Spider-Man. But in The Amazing Spider-Man 2, Peter Parker finds that a greater conflict lies ahead.

It’s great to be Spider-Man (Andrew Garfield).  For Peter Parker, there’s no feeling quite like swinging between skyscrapers, embracing being the hero, and spending time with Gwen (Emma Stone).  But being Spider-Man comes at a price: only Spider-Man can protect his fellow New Yorkers from the formidable villains that threaten the city.  With the emergence of Electro (Jamie Foxx), Peter must confront a foe far more powerful than he. And as his old friend, Harry Osborn (Dane DeHaan), returns, Peter comes to realize that all of his enemies have one thing in common: OsCorp.

The latest chapter in the Spider-Man story is set for release in 3D on 18th April 2014 in the UK and 2nd May in the U.S.

A keen enthusiast and collector of all horror and extreme films. I can be picky as i like quality in my horror. This doesn't necessarily mean it has to be a classic, but as long as it has something to impress me then i'm a fan. I watch films by the rule that if it doesn't bring out some kind of emotive response then it aint worth watching.
