Friday’s Box Office: Paranormal Activity: The Marked Ones Leads, Frozen second, & The Hobbit third

Friday’s box office shows that Paranormal Activity: The Marked Ones is leading this weekends top spot with $8.7 million, which should come at no surprise being the only new film out on 2014’s first weekend. The low-budget chiller is on course for a first weekend in the $20 million range.

Disney’s Frozen may, however, chuck The Marked Ones off its top spot, with it coming up the rear at $6.7 million and anticipated to make around $23 million at the end of the weekend!! If so, it will also knock The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug off it’s top spot, which has ruled the box office for three weeks running, and ran third on Friday with $5.1 million.
