Has the ‘Assassins Creed’ adaptation found a director?

Though a director is yet to be found, 20th Century Fox have slated their adaptation of the Ubisoft game, Assassins Creed, for release on August 7th 2015. The film will star Michael Fassbender, who will also be producing the film.

While nothing has been confirmed, Twitch is reporting that Safe House director Daniel Espinosa is looking likely to be directing the film. Espinosa has also directed the highly praised thriller Easy Money, and is currently in post-production on Child 44, which stars Tom Hardy, Gary Oldman and Joel Kinnaman.

So far there have been no details revealed as to which storyline the film will follow.

A keen enthusiast and collector of all horror and extreme films. I can be picky as i like quality in my horror. This doesn't necessarily mean it has to be a classic, but as long as it has something to impress me then i'm a fan. I watch films by the rule that if it doesn't bring out some kind of emotive response then it aint worth watching.
