Sir Patrick Stewart Lends His Support for David Cooper’s Dementia Charity Campaign Short THE CALL

The Call is a powerful and emotive short film by up-and-coming British director, writer and filmmaker David Cooper which has been made to spearhead a global campaign for charities around the world that are researching, supporting and caring for those who are affected by dementia.

The film was written using the actual words and experiences of just a few of those dealing with this condition and concludes with an appeal for donations by celebrated actor Sir Patrick Stewart.

“In THE CALL, David has created a short film which not only engages and informs but captures the pain, emotion and struggles of those who suffer with Dementia. It was a pleasure to be involved with such a worthwhile project and I encourage everyone to give it the support it deserves,” says Sir Patrick.

This worldwide campaign is being orchestrated by Cooper in conjunction with the ADI (Alzheimer’s Disease International), who are leading the post-G8 dementia task-force.

It has received much praise from the film and charity community and will be launched on YouTube on February 12th 2014.

“THE CALL is a terrific example of the power of movies to take a complex issue and translate it into a simple message that compels as much as it informs. It is both powerful and important, and a heartfelt tribute to those who too often suffer in silence.” Mark Dinning – Editor-in-Chief EMPIRE.
