Teaser trailer for Iranian Vampire Western ‘A Girl Walks Home Alone at Night’ is unsettling

Playing at Sundance in the NEXT section on January 19th is A Girl Walks Home Alone at Night. Billed as the first ever Iranian Vampire Western, the first black and white teaser trailer has just been released, and I am sure you’ll agree that it is very unsettling indeed.

The film is written and directed by Ana Lily Amirpour, and the cast includes Sheila Vand, Arash Marandi, Marshall Manesh and Mozhan Marno.

Here is the Sundance official synopsis:

Strange things are afoot in Bad City. The Iranian ghost town, home to prostitutes, junkies, pimps and other sordid souls, is a bastion of depravity and hopelessness where a lonely vampire stalks its most unsavory inhabitants. But when boy meets girl, an unusual love story begins to blossom… blood red.

A keen enthusiast and collector of all horror and extreme films. I can be picky as i like quality in my horror. This doesn't necessarily mean it has to be a classic, but as long as it has something to impress me then i'm a fan. I watch films by the rule that if it doesn't bring out some kind of emotive response then it aint worth watching.
