The Conjuring spin-off ‘Annabelle’ begins filming, Alfre Woodward joins the cast

While New Line are still developing a sequel to James Wan’s mighty horror film, The Conjuring, the spin-off based on the creepy Annabelle doll began filming this week.

Variety reported the news, and also confirmed that Alfre Woodward (pictured below, currently seen in 12 Years A Slave) has also joined the cast.

Peter Safran and “The Conjuring” director James Wan are producing.

Annabelle Wallis (“Peaky Blinders”) and Ward Horton are starring in “Annabelle” with John Leonetti, the cinematographer on “The Conjuring,” directing from a script by Gary Dauberman.

“The Conjuring” included a haunted doll named Annabelle as part of a collection of demonic objects assembled by paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren, who were portrayed by Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga. New Line is still developing a sequel to “The Conjuring.”

A keen enthusiast and collector of all horror and extreme films. I can be picky as i like quality in my horror. This doesn't necessarily mean it has to be a classic, but as long as it has something to impress me then i'm a fan. I watch films by the rule that if it doesn't bring out some kind of emotive response then it aint worth watching.
