Confirmed! The ‘Annabelle’ spin-off will NOT be released on October 3rd 2014

Two days ago we brought you news that The Conjuring 2 had a confirmed release date of October 23rd 2015, and within that news there was a date scheduled for New Line’s as yet un-titled horror for October 3rd this year.

Speculation lead us to believe that the film in question could be the now filming Conjuring spin-off, Annabelle.

Sadly, Bloody Disgusting did some digging and received official word from Warner Brothers that the horror film scheduled for release on October 3rd this year is definitely NOT Annabelle.

Now the speculation continues as to what film it will be…

Eric Ladin (“The Killing”) and Brian Howe (“Justified”) joined the cast of Annabelle last month, and they joined Annabelle Wallis and Ward Horton.

Peter Safran and “The Conjuring” director James Wan are producing.

James Wan’s regular cinematographer John R. Leonetti is be directing Annabelle, which is currently shooting. The eight month window between now and October 3rd suggests that the un-titled New Line horror could be this.

“The Conjuring” included a haunted doll named Annabelle as part of a collection of demonic objects assembled by paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren, who were portrayed by Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga.

A keen enthusiast and collector of all horror and extreme films. I can be picky as i like quality in my horror. This doesn't necessarily mean it has to be a classic, but as long as it has something to impress me then i'm a fan. I watch films by the rule that if it doesn't bring out some kind of emotive response then it aint worth watching.
