FILTH Director Jon S. Baird To Team Up With Danny Boyle for TV Comedy Drama BABYLON


It has been announced that Jon S. Baird, director of FILTH, the film adaptation of Irvine Welsh’s novel of the same name, will team-up with Danny Boyle on the new TV Comedy Drama “Babylon”.

Following the success of FILTH, which is released on Blu-ray & DVD on Monday Feb 10th, Baird has confirmed he will direct the first three episodes of Babylon, the pilot for which was directed by Boyle and will air on Channel 4 on Sunday Feb 9th

One of Britain’s greatest ever filmmakers, Danny Boyle directed the 1996 film adaptation of another of Irvine Welsh’s novels – Trainspotting.

Says Baird of the opportunity: “I’m thrilled to be working with Danny and the entire team behind Babylon. It’s obviously a fantastic opportunity and I feel honoured to have such an incredibly experienced and talented mentor”.
