The first official image has been released from the upcoming adaptation of Stephen King’s The Cell, courtesy of BlairWitch. The image doesn’t show much, but simply has the cast, lead by John Cusack, looking rather nervous about something we cannot see.
Tod Williams directs and John Cusack, Samuel L Jackson, Isabelle Fuhrman and Stacy Keach star in the story of a deadly pulse that affects mobile phone users.
Stephen King wrote the screenplay with revisions by Adam Alleca and Mark Leyner.
Synopsis:
When a powerful signal is broadcast across mobile networks worldwide, cell phone users’ minds are instantly and dangerously re-programmed. Heading north through New England in search of his wife and son, Clay Riddell (Cusack) is joined by a group of survivors hoping to fend off the bloodthirsty and hyper-connected “phoners.”
