Time to get all Gladiator style with the first clip from Paul W.S. Andersons action packed disaster epic, Pompeii. The first clip has been released and it see’s Kit Harington partaking in the violent Gladiator style games, with Kiefer Sutherland looking rather annoyed at his actions.

Cheesy, but great fun, so this is probably a good indicator as to whether you want to see the film or not.

Pompeii is due for release in cinemas on 2nd May in 3D, and it looks amazing, and those of you who love a good disaster film will no doubt love this. Anderson has proved his worth over the years as an action director, with the Resident Evil franchise, Death Race and the mighty Event Horizon, so I would expect big things from Pompeii.

Paul W.S. Anderson directs, and Janet Scott Batchler and Lee Batchler wrote the script. The cast includes Kit Harrington (Game of Thrones), Kiefer Sutherland, Emily Browning, Carrie-Anne Moss, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Jessica Lucas, and Jared Harris.

Synopsis:

Set in 79 A.D., POMPEII tells the epic story of Milo (Kit Harington), a slave turned invincible gladiator who finds himself in a race against time to save his true love Cassia (Emily Browning), the beautiful daughter of a wealthy merchant who has been unwillingly betrothed to a corrupt Roman Senator. As Mount Vesuvius erupts in a torrent of blazing lava, Milo must fight his way out of the arena in order to save his beloved as the once magnificent Pompeii crumbles around him.

A keen enthusiast and collector of all horror and extreme films. I can be picky as i like quality in my horror. This doesn't necessarily mean it has to be a classic, but as long as it has something to impress me then i'm a fan. I watch films by the rule that if it doesn't bring out some kind of emotive response then it aint worth watching.
