New trailer and poster released for director Denis Villeneuve’s twisted thriller Enemy, starring Jake Gyllenhaal


A new trailer and poster have been released for director Denis Villeneuve’s (Incendies) twisted thriller Enemy, starring Jake Gyllenhaal. The film debuted at the Toronto International Film Festival and reviews in so far have been very positive, some saying it is terrifying!! Check out the trailer and poster below.

Gyllenhaal stars as a paranoid teacher who believes that he has found his exact doppelganger and he sets out to find out who this person is.

The film also stars Melanie Laurent and Sarah Gadon.

Villeneuve made his studio debut with the release of thriller Prisoners, starring Hugh Jackman and Jake Gyllenhaal.

Enemy debuts exclusively on DirecTV on 6th February followed by a theatrical release on 14th March.


ENEMY tells the story of a university lecturer named Adam (Gyllenhaal) who is nearing the end of a relationship with his girlfriend Mary (Laurent). One night, while watching a film, Adam spots a minor actor who looks just like him. Consumed by the desire to meet his double, Adam tracks down Anthony, an actor living with his pregnant wife Helen (Gadon) and engages him in a complex and dangerous struggle. The film is a haunting and provocative psychosexual thriller about duality and identity, where in the end only one man will survive.
