One World Media has announced the top contenders in each of the categories for this year’s Awards, which recognise excellence in international journalism.
With a record number of entries this year, the Awards celebrate the best in media coverage of the developing world, reflecting the social, political and cultural life of people across the globe.
Now in its 26th year, the One World Media Awards are attended by key figures from across the media industry, government, and development NGOs. The 13 award categories cover all types of media, from television and radio to print, digital media and film, and the longlists boast many of the top names in broadcasting, filmmaking and journalism.

Winners will be announced at the One World Media Awards on Tuesday 6 May 2014, at Kings Place, 90 York Way, London.
