[Rec] director and Sleep Tight writer head to ‘Summer Camp’ with House of the Devil’s Jocelin Donahue

Last years chilling Sleep Tight was directed by [Rec] creator Jaume Balaguero, and written by Alberto Marini, and now the pair have teamed up again for a new horror called Summer Camp.

The roles are being somewhat revered here though as Marini will be making his directorial debut, and Balaguero will be onbaord as producer. The film is expected to begin shooting in Barcelona on February 24th.

House of the Devil’s Jocelin Donahue (pictured below), X-Men: First Class‘s Alex Gonzalez, and Maiara Walsh have all signed on to star in the film. Diego Boneta was already attached to appear.

When Darren, Michelle, Will and Christy signed up to work as camp counselors, they had visions of a fun-filled summer in an exciting foreign country. During their last hours of “freedom” before the camp opens its doors, the young counselors are determined to have a night they’ll never forget –and they won’t be disappointed…

Before the party’s even gotten underway, things get ugly, very ugly… A silent infection spreads, a friend snaps without prior notice. A savage game of cat and mouse ensues, it’s unclear who is afflicted and who is not, and the pursuer can become the pursued in the blink of an eye.

Welcome to Summer Camp.

A keen enthusiast and collector of all horror and extreme films. I can be picky as i like quality in my horror. This doesn't necessarily mean it has to be a classic, but as long as it has something to impress me then i'm a fan. I watch films by the rule that if it doesn't bring out some kind of emotive response then it aint worth watching.
