The first trailer for Robert Hall’s Fear Clinic has just arrived, and it is glorious! The film is an adaptation of the popular Fear.Net web series, and stars legendary horror actor Robert Englund.

The trailer is filled with tons of nightmarish visuals, gruesome horror and Englund once again relishing his role as a twisted character.

Fear Clinic was recently acquired by Anchor Bay for distribution, and while no details were released for the UK, the US can expect to see the film given the full release treatment later this year, with a theatrical, VOD, digital and home entertainment release planned.

The original five episode web series starred Robert Englund as Dr Andover, a slightly unhinged scientist who had ways of curing patients phobias. Naturally, being a horror series, his methods would lead to some horrible experiments.

Robert Englund will star in the film (reprising his role of Dr. Andover from the series) and Fiona Dourif  will be appear alongside Thomas Dekker (The Sarah Connor Chronicles) and Cleopatra Coleman (Step Up: Revolution, Silversun).

The screenplay was written by Aaron Drane and Robert Hall, and is produced my Mark B Johnson. Robert Hall is also directing.

Speaking of the film, Robert Hall said, “This is a whole different playing field. My new film has a much darker and surreal tone than the episodes, and I think fans will really appreciate the direction we’re going in.” Regarding the cast, he adds, “I’m terribly excited to get to collaborate with Fiona Dourif, who blows me away with her talent, and of course Thomas Dekker gets the best out of me when we’re on set and vice versa.

The film, “opens with a tragedy that launches five people into the public eye and enlists Dr. Andover to lend his expertise to help them overcome trauma-induced phobias. A year later, terrifying ‘aftershocks’ rattle the survivors, leading to them finding their way back to the fear clinic seeking answers. As they line up for another turn in the chamber, Dr. Andover believes that something more sinister may be at work.”

A keen enthusiast and collector of all horror and extreme films. I can be picky as i like quality in my horror. This doesn't necessarily mean it has to be a classic, but as long as it has something to impress me then i'm a fan. I watch films by the rule that if it doesn't bring out some kind of emotive response then it aint worth watching.
