New trailer for ‘Cheap Thrills’ wants to know if you’d cut your pinky off

If you haven’t heard of Cheap Thrills yet then where have you been? Considered one of the best films at last years FrightFest, and winning praise everywhere it has screened in the US, E.L. Katz’s ultra dark horror comedy is top of my must-see movies of this year.

If you need convincing as to just how insane and how dark this film goes, then check out the latest trailer below. The one minute tease see’s Craig (Pat Healy) and Vince (Ethan Embry) argue over who will chop their pinky off, and the stakes get lower and lower in this hilarious and rather nasty clip. Check it out below.

It has recently been announced that Cheap Thrills is coming to UK cinemas on 2nd May 2014!

E.L Katz makes a masterful initiation at the directorial helm in this black comedy masterpiece – a gritty and brutal critique on society and a satirical comment on the true value of money. This SXSW award winner is sure to be the Indie hit of 2014.

Unemployed and down on his luck, Craig (Pat Healy) finds himself drowning his sorrows in an attempt to forget the mounting debts threatening to tear his family apart. When a chance meeting with an old friend (Ethan Embry) leads to one drink after another; the pair find themselves drawn into an innocent game of dare by a thrill seeking couple with money to burn; Violet (Sara Paxton) and Colin (David Koechner).

As the night progresses both Vince and Craig become the victims of their own greed, as the initially fun game escalates into something far more sinister. When the money is on the table, how far will two friends go to ensure their futures?

A keen enthusiast and collector of all horror and extreme films. I can be picky as i like quality in my horror. This doesn't necessarily mean it has to be a classic, but as long as it has something to impress me then i'm a fan. I watch films by the rule that if it doesn't bring out some kind of emotive response then it aint worth watching.
