A superb new trailer for 24: Live Another Day has arrived, and finally we get a proper look at just what the hell is going on during Jack Bauer’s ninth day of trouble.

The trailer promises much of what has made 24 so adored by fans, with plenty of thrilling action, double crossing, espionage, Jack getting angry, Presidents, shouting, Chloe and a general sense of mayhem. The only thing missing is Jack bellowing the words “dammit!!” or “we’re running out of time!”, but I am sure it will be in the script somewhere!

24: Live Another Day is the first day of action since the original show ended in 2010 and see’s Jack on the streets of London, being hunted by a CIA agent (Yvonne Strahovski).

Also in the cast are the likes of Benjamin Bratt and Tate Donovan and the new day will debut on Fox in the US with a 2-hour premiere on May 5. Sky has broadcast rights for the UK.

Sutherland had this to say recently that Live Another Day aims to “get back to that very personal first season” of 24.

“Remember that episode in the first season when Jack was held up in that little construction shack because he can’t get outside? The whole episode, he’s in there. It was awesome, ”Later on, Howard [Gordon] and I used to sit and drink and go, ‘I remember when it was small, man. When we were doing the drama, the stuff that made people feel’.”

FOX have announced that the long awaited return of Jack Bauer will take place with a double episode on May 5th,and us Brits will have to wait until later May for it to show up on our screens.

The 12-part run – which will see Kiefer Sutherland reprise the role of Jack Bauer will be set in London and will be called 24: Live Another Day.Manny Coto, the executive producer had this to say about the plot!

“Jack is still hunted when the show begins. the show will open with that dynamic – a CIA agent hunting Jack where in their minds he’s not quite Osama bin Laden, but he’s a fugitive of high order. Someone to be captured”.

“We will learn Jack has a mission. Whether it’s a good mission, a dark mission… We don’t know.”Its also been revealed that Chloe (Jack’s only friend since Day 3) will no longer be working for her country having being mentally damaged by what has gone on in the previous day’s.  There are hints that she may be against Jack at the start!

She is damaged over the four years [since the show left off]. She has turned against the government.”
Keifer also had this to say about his friendship with Chloe.

“They’re actually pitted against each other… that is a dynamic that Mary Lynn and I get to play that’s very exciting. It’s always something that’s going to evolve over the course of the show”

A keen enthusiast and collector of all horror and extreme films. I can be picky as i like quality in my horror. This doesn't necessarily mean it has to be a classic, but as long as it has something to impress me then i'm a fan. I watch films by the rule that if it doesn't bring out some kind of emotive response then it aint worth watching.
