‘Justice League’ movie confirmed, with Zack Snyder directing

We all knew that eventually DC and Warner Brothers would announce that the Justice League movie was coming, and it has now been confirmed that the film is on the way, with Zack Snyder directing.

Fresh off directing Man of Steel, Snyder is already working on the follow up to that film, the as yet untitled Batman vs Superman. Due for release on 29th April 2016, Batman vs Superman will be the movie to set up Justice League, with not only Batman (Ben Affleck) and Superman (Henry Cavill) being in the film, but also Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot) and Cyborg (Ray Fisher).

It has been confirmed that Justice League will now shoot back to back with Batman vs Superman, and there are a number of release dates floating around. The Wall Street Journal, who first reported the news, say Justice League will be released in either 2018 or 2019. However, Borys Kit tweeted not only the news of the film shooting back to back with Batman vs Superman, but also said sources confirm a 2017 release date.

It has also been said that an official announcement will likely be made at ComicCon in July, but with the Internet going crazy over this news, the official word may come sooner.

Warner Brothers President of worldwide production, Greg Silverman, confirmed recently that Batman vs Superman will lead into the Justice League movie. He also confirmed that Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman would feature in the film, but would not confirm any other members as yet. The founding members of Justice League in the comics were Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Flash, Green Lantern, and Martian Manhunter. Other characters have been rotated throughout the years, such as Green Arrow, Captain Atom, Captain Marvel, Black Canary, the Atom, Hawkman, Elongated Man, Red Tornado, Firestorm, Zatanna, Hawkgirl, Cyborg, Vixen and many others.

It has also been confirmed that the Justice League script is being worked on, and although the writer has not been confirmed, David Goyer (who wrote Man of Steel and Batman vs Superman) has a three-picture deal with Warners, so it is very likely he will also be writing the Justice League movie.

Anyway, here Borys Kit’s Tweet confirming the news:

A keen enthusiast and collector of all horror and extreme films. I can be picky as i like quality in my horror. This doesn't necessarily mean it has to be a classic, but as long as it has something to impress me then i'm a fan. I watch films by the rule that if it doesn't bring out some kind of emotive response then it aint worth watching.
