Sinister old school poster for haunted house horror ‘Soulmate’ is very effective



Ah the good old days of horror posters which were illustrated, and thus giving them a creepier, and extremely chilling feel. There’s not enough of them these days. so when one comes along we should embrace it, and embrace it we shall!

A new poster for British haunter Soulmate has been revealed, and you can view it in all its painted glory below. The poster has been created by British artist Graham Humphreys, the man who gave us the UK posters for A Nightmare on Elm Street and Evil Dead 2.

Soulmate played at Film4 FrightFest’s All Nighter in London last October, and is now preparing to puts the spooks to the Cannes audience.

Soulmate is written and directed by first time director Axelle Carolyn, and the films cast includes Anna Walton (Hellboy 2), Tom Wisdom (300), Nick Brimble (A Knight’s Tale), and Emma Cleasby (Dog Soldiers). Neil Marshall (Dog Soldiers, The Descent) produced.


Axelle Carolyn makes her impressive feature debut with a sophisticated ghost story. After attempting to commit suicide due to the sudden death of her husband, Audrey (Anna Walton) decides to retreat to a remote country cottage. But she soon discovers her safe haven is haunted by its previous owner.
