Brand new ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ trailer is just excellent!!!

The second trailer for James Gunn’s Guardians of the Galaxy was released last night, and it is even better than the first trailer. The comedy, playfulness and plain awesomeness is once again present and correct, and the film continues to look absolutely nothing like what Marvel have done before, which is a good thing.

A brave film for Marvel, I predict it may open not as big as expected, but once word of mouth spreads to those who need convincing, the film will explode. Personally, I think it looks terrific, and the design of the trailers only enhance the sort of anarchic feel of the film, and the slightly edgier, even darker approach than your usual Marvel film.

The choice of music in the trailer is spectacular, especially using Norman Greenbaum’s classic Spirit in the Sky. The trailer comes with tons of action, some sexual tension between Chris Pratt’s Star Lord and Zoe Saldana’s (extremely hot) Gamora, we see much more of Groot (voiced by Vin Diesel) and Rocket Raccoon (voiced by Bradley Cooper) in action, Gamora performs a sexy striptease, we get a brief glimpse of Benicio Del Toro’s villain The Collector, and the entire two and a half minutes are just so much fun, you should probably watch it again!

Guardians of the Galaxy is written and directed by James Gunn, and the cast includes Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Vin Diesel, Bradley Cooper, Lee Pace, Karen Gillan, John C. Reilly, Glenn Close, Michael Rooker, Djimon Hounsou, Peter Serafinowicz, and Benicio Del Toro.

The film will be released in UK cinemas August 1st.

From Marvel, the studio that brought you the global blockbuster franchises of Iron Man, Thor, Captain America and The Avengers, comes a new team – the Guardians of the Galaxy. An action-packed epic space adventure, Marvel’s “Guardians of the Galaxy” expands the Marvel Cinematic Universe into the cosmos, where brash adventurer Peter Quill finds himself the object of an unrelenting bounty hunt after stealing a mysterious orb coveted by Ronan, a powerful villain with ambitions that threaten the universe. To evade the ever-persistent Ronan, Quill is forced into an uneasy truce with a quartet of disparate misfits – Rocket, a gun-toting raccoon, Groot, a tree-like humanoid, the deadly and enigmatic Gamora and the revenge-driven Drax the Destroyer. But when Peter discovers the true power of the orb and the menace it poses to the cosmos, he must do his best to rally his ragtag rivals for a last, desperate stand – with the galaxy’s fate in the balance. Marvel’s “Guardians of the Galaxy” is presented by Marvel Studios. The film releases August 1, 2014, and is distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures.

A keen enthusiast and collector of all horror and extreme films. I can be picky as i like quality in my horror. This doesn't necessarily mean it has to be a classic, but as long as it has something to impress me then i'm a fan. I watch films by the rule that if it doesn't bring out some kind of emotive response then it aint worth watching.
