Denzel Washington brings the pain in first trailer for ‘The Equalizer’

The first trailer for director Antoine Fuqua’s (Training Day)adaptation of 80’s TV series The Equalizer has dropped, and it is good!

When Denzel Washington is on form (which is pretty much all the time) he is unstoppable, but when he plays a man with vengeance on his agenda, he is a true force to be reckoned with. Showing hints of his masterful performance in the classic revenge thriller Man on Fire, The Equalizer looks terrific. Having not seen the original series I don’t know how the film will compare, but the trailer has me sold.

The Equalizer is directed by Antoine Fuqua, and is written by Richard Wenk. The cast includes Denzel Washington, Melissa Leo, Martin Csokas, Haley Bennett, David Harbour, and Bill Pullman.

In The Equalizer, Denzel Washington plays McCall, a former black ops commando who has faked his death to live a quiet life in Boston. When he comes out of his self-imposed retirement to rescue a young girl, Teri (Chloë Grace Moretz), he finds himself face to face with ultra-violent Russian gangsters. As he serves vengeance against those who brutalize the helpless, McCall’s desire for justice is reawakened. If someone has a problem, the odds are stacked against them, and they have nowhere else to turn, McCall will help. He is The Equalizer.

A keen enthusiast and collector of all horror and extreme films. I can be picky as i like quality in my horror. This doesn't necessarily mean it has to be a classic, but as long as it has something to impress me then i'm a fan. I watch films by the rule that if it doesn't bring out some kind of emotive response then it aint worth watching.
