First poster for adaptation of Clive Barker’s ‘Jacqueline Ess’ has its bloody eye on you

Earlier this year it was announced that Clive Barker’s short story, Jacqueline Ess: Her Will and Testament, was to be adapted into a feature film, and a short while ago Lena Headey (Game of Thrones, Dredd) was cast as the lead in the film.

Looking for buyers at Cannes, the first sales poster for the film has been revealed, and you can check it out below.

The story originally appeared in Barker’s anthology novel The Books Of Blood and tells of a beautiful seductress with the ability to change people’s body shapes with her mind. The Books of Blood anthologies also contained stories which were the basis for Candyman and Lord of Illusions.

Raven Banner will produce with Barker’s Seraphim Films on board as executive producer. The feature production is scheduled to commence in the autumn. Lena Headey will star.

“Lena Headey is a marvelous performer with an incredible presence,” says executive producer Clive Barker. “As far as I’m concerned, there is no better choice of actress for the role of Jacqueline. Her beauty and authority will carry the day.”

Jovanka Vuckovic will make her feature debut. Her credits include short film “The Captured Bird” from exec producer Guillermo del Toro, and the all-female horror anthology XX.

Vuckovic will direct from a script she co-wrote with Christian Francis.

A keen enthusiast and collector of all horror and extreme films. I can be picky as i like quality in my horror. This doesn't necessarily mean it has to be a classic, but as long as it has something to impress me then i'm a fan. I watch films by the rule that if it doesn't bring out some kind of emotive response then it aint worth watching.
