Due for release in UK cinemas on 19th September is the latest Liam Neeson man on a rampage thriller, but this one comes with what appears to be a slightly horror edge.
The first trailer for A Walk Among the Tombstones has just dropped, and what begins as a standard(but actually very promising looking) detective thriller soon becomes something extremely sinister, and heads off into some increasingly dark and very strange places. I must admit the trailer lead to somewhere I was really not expecting, and the trailers finale has me totally hooked.
A Walk Among the Tombstones is directed by Scott Frank, and he has adapted Lawrence Block’s novel of the same name into the screenplay. The films cast includes Liam Neeson, Boyd Holbrook, Dan Stevens and Whitney Able.
Based on Lawrence Block’s bestselling series of mystery novels, A Walk among the Tombstones stars Liam Neeson as Matt Scudder, an ex-NYPD cop who now works as an unlicensed private investigator operating just outside the law. When Scudder reluctantly agrees to help a heroin trafficker (Dan Stevens) hunt down the men who kidnapped and then brutally murdered his wife, the PI learns that this is not the first time these men have committed this sort of twisted crime…nor will it be the last. Blurring the lines between right and wrong, Scudder races to track the deviants through the backstreets of New York City before they kill again.
