There’s been a fair amount of information revealed over the past few weeks about Colin Trevorrow’s Jurassic World, and while all of the images and plot teases have been exciting, we have yet to see a Dinosaur.
All that changes today, sort of…
Trevorrow posted the following Tweet yesterday:

Titled Nights, that Dinosaur jaw shadow looks mighty scary, and my guess is this is the new Dinosaur we’ve been hearing so much about. Yes the image is not exactly a full body shot of the beast, but secrecy builds excitement, and slowly revealing this new monster like this is a good way to go. Unlike Godzilla, hopefully the big reveal can be kept hidden until the films release?
There is still no official synopsis for the film, but Trevorrow recently confirmed that there WILL be a new Dinosaur which has been created by scientists. He also stated:
“Yes. Jurassic World takes place in a fully functional park on Isla Nublar. It sees more than 20,000 visitors every day. You arrive by ferry from Costa Rica. It has elements of a biological preserve, a safari, a zoo, and a theme park. There is a luxury resort with hotels, restaurants, nightlife and a golf course. And there are dinosaurs. Real ones. You can get closer to them than you ever imagined possible. It’s the realization of John Hammond’s dream, and I think you’ll want to go there”
“This film picks up twenty-two years after Jurassic Park. When Derek [Connolly] and I sat down to find the movie, we looked at the past two decades and talked about what we’ve seen. … What if, despite previous disasters, they built a new biological preserve where you could see dinosaurs walk the earth…and what if people were already kind of over it? We imagined a teenager texting his girlfriend with his back to a T-Rex behind protective glass. For us, that image captured the way much of the audience feels about the movies themselves. “We’ve seen CG dinosaurs. What else you got?” Next year, you’ll see our answer”
Colin Trevorrow directs and co-wrote Jurassic World with Derek Connolly based on an existing script by Rick Jaffa and Amanda Silver. The cast is led by Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard, who are joined by youngsters Nick Robinson (The Kings of Summer) and Ty Simpkins (Insidious). Vincent D’Onofrio and Irrfan Khan also star. BD Wong (Jurassic Park) is the only actor from the franchise to be making a return.
Jurassic World will arrive in cinemas June 12th 2015.
