MARVEL STILL CONSIDERING ANOTHER HULK MOVIE

From Digital Spy comes the news that Mark Ruffalo has confirmed the rumours about Marvel Studios is considering a Hulk standalone movie, though it wasn’t that long ago when he was going on about a possible ‘eco-friendly’ film featuring the green giant, and even Mark Feige said something about this a while back. Ruffalo says:

“I think they are, for the first time, entertaining the idea of it. When we did The Avengers it was basically ‘No!’, and now there is some consideration for it. But there’s still nothing definitive, not even a skeletal version of what it would be. I look forward to going down that road, if we could crack that nut.”

So it seems that it’s still a long way off. I think that Marvel’s first Hulk movie, the one directed by Ang Lee, remains one of their best pictures, though it’s not a view many others seem to share. At least it was different and Lee and his writer tried to do some interesting things, though I doubt they would be given such free reign if the movie was being made now, at a time when Marvel’s films are mostly very ‘samey’. By contrast, Louis Letterier’s The Incredible Hulk did nothing for me and just seemed to go through the motions. At least Ruffalo is probably the best Bruce Banner.

Ruffalo’s new musical drama Begin Again is released in the UK on July 11.

I'm a huge film fan and will watch pretty much any type of film, from Martial Arts to Westerns, from Romances [though I don't really like Romcoms!]] to Historical Epics. Though I most certainly 'have a life', I tend to go to the cinema twice a week! However, ever since I was a kid, sneaking downstairs when my parents had gone to bed to watch old Universal and Hammer horror movies, I've always been especially fascinated by horror, and though I enjoy all types of horror films, those Golden Oldies with people like Boris Karloff and Christopher Lee probably remain my favourites. That's not to say I don't enjoy a bit of blood and gore every now and again though, and am also a huge fan of Italian horror, I just love the style.
