NEW TRAILER FOR TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLE MOVIE

Don’t shoot me, but I have a soft spot for the ‘heroes in a half shell’, and am actually looking forwared to this movie. The Turtles, who for a while had to be called ‘Hero’ Turtles rather than ‘Ninja’ Turtles because the BBFC didn’t like something aimed at kids to have the word ‘ninja’ in the title, began life in Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird’s 1984 comic book, and went on to star in their own animated TV series, three films in the ’90, and a more recent CGI animated movie. This big budget version is produced by Michael Bay, which I guess is enough to put some people off, and I’m still angry at him for the Platinum Dunes stuff, while the trailer gives the impression somewhat of another Transformers sequel. Though hardly good movies, I have a soft spot for them as guilty pleasures so I think the Turtles movie should be fun nonetheless… though I still can’t get my head around the Turtles being aliens!

The film stars Megan Fox as April O’Neil, William Fichtner as Shredder, Alan Ritchson as Raphael [though CGI is obviously assisting with the Turtles], Noel Fisher as Michelangelo, Jeremy Howard as Donatello, Pete Ploszek as Leonardo and Danny Woodburn as Splinter. Johnny Knoxville will provide the voice of Leonardo. Will Arnett and Whoopi Goldberg are in the supporting cast.

Come on, all together now….COWABUNGA!!!!

I'm a huge film fan and will watch pretty much any type of film, from Martial Arts to Westerns, from Romances [though I don't really like Romcoms!]] to Historical Epics. Though I most certainly 'have a life', I tend to go to the cinema twice a week! However, ever since I was a kid, sneaking downstairs when my parents had gone to bed to watch old Universal and Hammer horror movies, I've always been especially fascinated by horror, and though I enjoy all types of horror films, those Golden Oldies with people like Boris Karloff and Christopher Lee probably remain my favourites. That's not to say I don't enjoy a bit of blood and gore every now and again though, and am also a huge fan of Italian horror, I just love the style.
