Official synopsis released for Daniel Radcliffe starring horror ‘Victor Frankenstein’

Fox’s new version of the Frankenstein story, starring Daniel Radcliffe and James McAvoy, is not due for release until October 2nd 2015, but the studio have now revealed the official synopsis for the eagerly anticipated horror. You will find the synopsis below.

The film has also been re-titled Victor Frankenstein.

Radcliffe stars next to Jessica Brown Findlay and James McAvoy (who will be playing Victor Frankenstein)

Frankenstein is a new version of the story which is directed by Paul McGuigan (Lucky Number Slevin, Push, Gangster Number 1). The script has been written by Chronicle’s Max Landis, and will take a sci-fi approach to the Frankenstein story about a creature produced through a scientific experiment.

Writer Landis has expressed an interest in exploring Igor’s character with this new film.

Frankenstein arrives in cinemas on January 16th 2015.

Synopsis:

James McAvoy is Victor Von Frankenstein and Daniel Radcliffe stars as Igor in a unique, never-before-seen twist on Mary Shelley’s classic 19th century novel. Told from Igor’s perspective, we see the troubled young assistant’s dark origins, his redemptive friendship with the young medical student Victor Von Frankenstein, and become eyewitnesses to the emergence of how Frankenstein became the man—and the legend—we know today.
