TV: Horror series ‘Intruders’ unleashes creepy first trailer

A new horror series is heading to the US courtesy of BBC America, and with the likes of Daniel Stamm (The Last Exorcism), Eduardo Sanchez (The Blair Witch Project, Lovely Molly) and Glen Morgan (Final Destination, The X-Files) all directing episodes, Intruders not be missed.

Set to premiere in the US on August 23rd, the first trailer has now been released, and you can view it below.

Intruders stars John Simm as Jack Whelan, with Mira Sorvino as his wife Amy. The cast also includes James Frain as Shepherd, Tory Kittles as Gary Fischer and 10-year-old Millie Brown as Madison.

The creative team includes Eduardo Sanchez and Daniel Stamm, along with production designer Mark Freeborn. The series is exec produced by Glen Morgan and Rose Lam, as well as Jane Tranter and Julie Gardner for BBC Worldwide Productions.

INTRUDERS is about a secret society devoted to chasing immortality by seeking refuge in the bodies of others.

A contemporary, chilling, paranormal tale set in the moody Pacific Northwest, INTRUDERS spins a fascinating and complex web of drama. As strange, apparently unrelated events start happening, multiple story-lines — a missing wife, an assassin covering his crimes, a child on the run — begin to intertwine to reveal a conspiracy that will forever change our understanding of human nature.
