Comic-Con: Scanners TV show could be on our screens in the very near future

Back in 2011, it was announced at the then San Diego Comic-Con that the Weinstein Co.’s Dimension Films were developing a TV show based on David Cronenberg’s 1981 cult classic Scanners, with director Alexandre Aja on board as executive producer. And at today’s press conference for Horns, Aja gave a little update on the status of the show:

“I’ve always been a huge huge fan of Cronenberg and especially Scanners. I think it’s one of the best worlds and best universes created. There’s been a few years where I’ve tried to figure out a way to create a TV show. Hopefully, next year here at the same place we’ll be revealing a lot, but yes, but this is definitely something I want to do next.”

“It’s gonna be so good your head’s gonna explode,” added author Joe Hill, who was also on the panel.

So there you have it, more on this as it comes!!
