Earlier this week came the first poster for Alexandre Aja’s new horror feature, Horns, and a teaser trailer has now made its way to Youtube, and as expected, it is very good indeed.

Daniel Radcliffe, star of Horns, has been travelling away from the land of Harry Potter, and in Horns he couldn’t be further from it. Check out the nasty and rather dark trailer below.

Horns is directed by Alexandre Aja.

Daniel Radcliffe leads a top notch ensemble cast that includes Juno Temple, Max Minghella, Joe Anderson, Kelli Garner, Heather Graham, David Morse, Kathleen Quinlan and James Remar. The film is based on the novel by comic book author Joe Hill. Keith Bunin wrote the screenplay.

HORNS was produced by Red Granite Pictures founders and producing partners Riza Aziz and Joey McFarland in addition to Mandalay’s Cathy Shulman. Alexandre Aja is also a producer.

Synopsis:

Horns, a supernatural thriller driven by fantasy, mystery, and romance, follows Ig Perrish (Radcliffe), the number one suspect for the violent rape and murder of his girlfriend, Merrin (Temple). Hungover from a night of hard drinking, Ig awakens one morning to find horns starting to grow from his own head and soon realizes their power drives people to confess their sins and give in to their most selfish and unspeakable impulses – an effective tool in his quest to discover the true circumstances of his late girlfriend’s tragedy and for exacting revenge on her killer.

This rock and roll infused dark fantasy explores why bad things happen to good people and what the loss of true love can do to a man. The widely acclaimed book was on the New York Times bestseller list for six weeks and has become an international bestseller as well.

A keen enthusiast and collector of all horror and extreme films. I can be picky as i like quality in my horror. This doesn't necessarily mean it has to be a classic, but as long as it has something to impress me then i'm a fan. I watch films by the rule that if it doesn't bring out some kind of emotive response then it aint worth watching.
