I know it’s sad,  but I can’t wait for the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie. And now, a ton of behind the scenes footage and film clips have turned up. The other night, Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Sports Awards aired on the channel and a special section running nearly 20 minutes was devoted to the Turtles film. Hosted by Will Arnett and Megan Fox, it reveals a more extensive look at that ski slopes chase scene that was so enticing in the trailers, and gives us a look behind the scenes to reveal the motion-capture suits that turn a cast of actors into Leonardo, Raphael, Michelangelo and Donatello. You see Pete Ploszek provide the physical performance and presumably stunts of Leonardo, but Johnny Knoxville giving the turtle his voice. You also get to see glimpses of Shredder and Splinter in action, as well as interviews with the cast and crew on what makes this reboot spectacular [hopefully]. They give a rundown of the titular turtles personalities and weapons preferences, and offer–as the title of the special suggests–a comprehensive look inside the action.

Yeah it’s all quite exciting if you’re a bit of a fan.

The film stars Megan Fox as April O’Neil, William Fichtner as Shredder, Alan Ritchson as Raphael [though CGI is obviously assisting with the Turtles], Noel Fisher as Michelangelo, Jeremy Howard as Donatello, Pete Ploszek as Leonardo and Danny Woodburn as Splinter. Johnny Knoxville will provide the voice of Leonardo. Will Arnett and Whoopi Goldberg are in the supporting cast.

Now before I go off to get a pizza….that’s not quite all. In the film, Will Arnett plays cameraman to Megan Fox’s risky reporter, while Whoopi Goldberg plays her boss. When making an appearance on The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon, Goldberg shared this clip that shows April desperately trying to make sense of her discovery of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. It begins at the 3:24 mark.

I'm a huge film fan and will watch pretty much any type of film, from Martial Arts to Westerns, from Romances [though I don't really like Romcoms!]] to Historical Epics. Though I most certainly 'have a life', I tend to go to the cinema twice a week! However, ever since I was a kid, sneaking downstairs when my parents had gone to bed to watch old Universal and Hammer horror movies, I've always been especially fascinated by horror, and though I enjoy all types of horror films, those Golden Oldies with people like Boris Karloff and Christopher Lee probably remain my favourites. That's not to say I don't enjoy a bit of blood and gore every now and again though, and am also a huge fan of Italian horror, I just love the style.
