Leprechaun: Origins seems to have been in the works or ages, but now comes a second trailer which finally gives us a glimpse of the little beast, plus a new poster which gives us a much clearer picture of what horror await.
Director Zach Lipovsky promised “The tone is going to be a little darker, a little more traditional horror than the Warwick Davis ones that people remember, trying to find a way to please fans of that genre but at the same time this is really being played for scares.” The new trailer for the prequel certainly proves that, so check it out below, and the new poster can also be found below.
Leprechaun: Origins is due for release in the US on VOD on 26th August and DVD/Bluray on 30th September. UK release dates are yet to be determined.
The films full cast includes WWE star Dylan “Hornswoggle” Postl, who will be taking over the role of Warwick Davis as the vicious, vengeful Leprechaun, Stephanie Bennett, Teach Grant (The Tall Man, Devour, Repeaters, “Cult”), Bruce Blain (“Supernatural”), Adam Boys, and Brendan Fletcher (“The Killing, Freddy vs. Jason, 13 Eerie).
