The games destroyed her! Here’s the teaser trailer for ‘The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1’


After showing this to Comic-Con fans over the weekend, Lionsgate have now released a minute long trailer for The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1 on-line, and you can view the teaser below.

The teaser thrillingly sets up the epic two-part conclusion to The Hunger Games, and the visuals and choice of words used in the teaser are very effective. Seriousness is key here, with lots of tragedy, emotion and dangerous times ahead as The Capitol face an impending uprising. It is also great seeing the late Philip Seymour Hoffman on screen as Plutarch Heavensbee, and his conversation with the excellent Julianne Moore (making her Hunger Games debut as Alma Coin) looks riveting stuff!

The Hunger Games: Mockingay Part 1 is directed by Francis Lawrence, and Peter Craig and Danny Strong adapted the screenplay based on Suzanne Collins’ series. The film stars Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, Donald Sutherland,Liam Hemsworth, Woody Harrelson, Elizabeth Banks, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Jeffrey Wright, Stanley Tucci, Jena Malone and Julianne Moore.

The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1 will be released in cinemas 20th November 2014.

Under the leadership of President Coin (Julianne Moore) and the advice of her trusted friends, Katniss spreads her wings as she fights to save Peeta (Josh Hutcherson) and a nation moved by her courage. The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1 is directed by Francis Lawrence from a screenplay by Danny Strong and Peter Craig and produced by Nina Jacobson’s Color Force in tandem with producer Jon Kilik. The novel on which the film is based is the third in a trilogy written by Suzanne Collins that has over 65 million copies in print in the U.S. alone.
