TV: Wes Bentley joins ‘American Horror Story: Freak Show’ for Halloween special

Wes Bentley (above), who has appeared in some superb films like American Beauty and The Hunger Games, as well as some dodgy choices like Jonah Hex, Soul Survivors and even Ghost Rider, is now set to appear in the upcoming return of American Horror Story, titled Freak Show.

Bentley will appear in the usual Halloween special, which this year will run for two episodes, and if you want to avoid spoilers then do not read on for TVLine‘s description of his characer.

Bentley will appear in the show’s two-part Halloween episode (tentatively set to air October 21st and 28th) as Eddie, a dark tormentor from Kathy Bates’ past who is hell-bent on revenge”

Freakshow is due to air on FX in October this year, and Jessica Lange, Sarah Paulson, Kathy Bates, Evan Peters, Angela Bassett, Francis Conroy, Emma Roberts, Denis O’Hare, Gabourey Sidibe, and Jamie Brewer all returning.

Recently Sarah Paulson revealed an image of her two-headed character on Twitter.

Michael Chiklis (The Shield) will make his American Horror Story debut.

Chiklis will make his American Horror Story debut playing the Father of Evan Peters’ character, and ex-husband of Kathy Bates’ character.

Jessica Lange stars as a German ex-pat who manages one of the last remaining freak shows in Jupiter, Florida in 1950.

Bates and Peters, along with returning actors Sarah Paulson, Angela Bassett, and Frances Conroy, will play circus performers who were “saved” by Lange.

Gabourey Sidibe and Jamie Brewer will also return to the series “in some capacity.”

It was also said that some actors from American Horror Story and American Horror Story: Asylum may also be returning.
